My February Favorites
Another month of the New Year has passed which means I’m two months into my New Year’s resolution and can only buy one thing a month. Keep reading for the 6 Things I wanted this February and the 1 item I got.
February came and went so quickly that I almost decided not to get anything this month. Plus, I have to admit that my grandma buys all of her grandkids a red shirt for Valentine’s Day (and the yummiest cookies ever—Nana is the best!) so I did add something to my closet mid month. She got me one of the items on my list which means I kind of got one thing without getting it myself. I know that’s a loophole, but technically I didn’t get it so I still kept screen shots of the items that made me look twice and waited to make a pick at the end of the month.
A few things caught my eye, including a couple pairs of booties and some more polka dot items but it wasn’t until March first rolled around and Matisse launched its collab with Amuse that I decided I would indeed make a purchase and count it as my February pick. Take a look at the items I wanted to buy and check out the adorable boots that made their way into my wardrobe.
1. This leopard print duster is pretty great and such a statement piece. It has metallic stitching and is perfect for layering. I love animal print to throw on with anything but I also got a cheetah print coat in December so I had to pass on this one.
2. Since I was going to Hawaii in February this adorable retro bikini was a top contender but I figured I already have enough swim and had some Novella Royale higher waisted bottoms I was still waiting to wear so this was another thing I decided to pass up.
3. I am loving white boots right now. I am usually not a white footwear person at all, I don’t think I have any white shoes aside from the converse I still have from high school but when I got some cream snake skin boots for Christmas and have been wearing them a lot I thought about adding these to the mix. Ultimately I decided I didn’t need another pair but I still love these!
4. Like last month, I was drawn to another super cute and flirty polka dot blouse. This was my cheater item that I got from my Nana so I have to say this was a winner.
5. This kimono from Free People is beautiful. The sleeve and all the lantern details are stunning. Yet, I have quite the collection of kimonos and Jane Robes hanging in my closet so I let this one go.
6. Last but not least are these Amuse x Matisse boots that I had to have as soon as I saw them. It was March first so technically I made it through the month but knew it was too soon to count this as a March pick without having made my own in February. Thinking they might sell out I couldn’t wait any longer to contemplate after seeing them and with the great price tag and slip on style I’m sure I won’t be disappointed. These bad boys are in the mail right now so I’ll report back once I get them!
