The Longest Lasting Red Lip Ever
I found the perfect red lip to wear on the 4th of July next week. This stuff is literally the most long lasting, won’t smudge, can’t even try to take it off, kiss-proof, dinner-proof, staying put after a few drinks liquid lipstick ever. I tried to take this of at night and after scrubbing, it still looked like I just applied it.
It’s Maybelline’s new SuperStay Matte Ink and it is super pigmented without feeling chalky or drying out your lips. When you’re putting it on make sure to take your time and have a steady hand because once it’s on, it’s on for good. Maybelline isn’t joking when they say 24 hour color. I even bought the remover stick that they sell with it and that barely got it to budge…the next morning.
I am planning to wear this all day on the 4th and I know it will last through all my snacking, drinking, and swimming which is great since I don’t want to be carrying lipstick down to the beach or worrying about my smile the rest of the day.
The shade is #20 “Pioneer” and it is the perfect red color. It actually makes your teeth look whiter because it has blue undertones and is super flattering, even on my obnoxiously pale complexion.
Have any of you tried this before? I’m definitely interested in getting another color but if you’ve read my last post you know I need to refrain!

Summer Bloom
Summer is in bloom! Happy Solstice to everyone. I remember growing up and always being so excited for summer to see the mimosa trees bloom at my grandparent’s ranch. Walking around there today, I felt a combination of nostalgia and excitement as we welcome the summer with the longest day of the year today. This is one of my most favorite trees and seeing a bee in there doing its job to spread the beauties of summer was a reminder to appreciate the things we take for granted and to “stop and smell the roses”.
