Engagement Photo Shoot, Laguna Beach CA
As soon as Michael and I got back from our trip we hit the ground running on all things wedding! He has always wanted a short engagement so it’s a good thing I’ve been wedding crazy for years and had lots of stuff already in mind.
We got into the invitation designing, setting final dates, vendors and of course I needed more engagement photos. Sorry people, but this only happens once and I have been eagerly waiting 6.5 years for this moment!
I had been in contact with Southern CA based photographer and videographer Morgan Hydinger after seeing a gorgeous wedding video she did on Instagram. I knew that her work reflected the same vibe and style I was hoping to achieve on my and Michael’s big day so I was thrilled she could work with us in September and was so excited to meet her for our engagement shoot.
Morgan is so sweet and did an incredible job of making us feel comfortable, capturing our natural chemistry and emotions and got a great range of photos in less than half an hour. (Michael was not feeling well at all this day so I told her we needed to be quick! She knew she had what we needed and was able to get us in and out fast without compromising the shoot but still giving us a range of options.)
Earlier in the day, I got my hair and makeup done by Dee, the owner of Swell Beauty. We did my trial for the wedding day hair and makeup and tried out a few hair-do’s before settling on my look for the big day. After that, we did something different for these photos and I was so happy with the glamorous side part and soft braid. She is a must for hair and makeup if you’re in the Orange County area.
This was such a fun preview for the wedding day to visualize how I will look and feel and how the photos will turn out. I have linked Morgan and Dee’s pages below.
