4th of July Fashion

4th of July Fashion

When it comes to dressing up for the 4th of July I have a couple of things I always stick with; a red lip matching bikini top. This year I used Maybelline 24 hour Matte Ink, and like I said in my post about it, it lasted perfectly throughout the day, night and following morning.IMG_2184

From there, I like to find a good coverup that can add flare to my outfit and keep it from being too revealing all day while still making sense at the beach. Last year, I had a long romper with deep v-neck and the year before I wore a kimono.

This year I was feeling red for everything. I found this adorable set at Zara and loved the simple daisy detail that was all red, white, and blue. It was flirty and feminine and super comfortable.

IMG_2192The pattern was perfect for the day without looking exclusively patriotic and is definitely something I will keep wearing throughout the summer. The bottoms were a skort which is perfect for running around all day without having to worry about the wind blowing things up.IMG_2186IMG_2190

IMG_2191I took a cue from my dog’s daily bandana and went with a red one in my hair and added this star headband my aunt got at Party City. Every year since I was a little girl my grandma gives me and the rest of her grandkids goodie bags full of goofy accessories, noisy gadgets and glow sticks for night time. Even though we are almost all into our twenties now, its still a fun gesture and always makes the day (and our outfits more fun). Thanks, Nana!IMG_2188
