Happy Summer Solstice folks! Today is the longest day of the year, the official kick off to Summer and the perfect time for me to finally post my Summer 2020 playlist.
My first playlist of 2018 is up on the blog and Spotify. Check it out for a little bit of pop, disco and rock. Featuring KC & The Sunshine Band, Father John Misty, and The Black Crowes.
Labor Day is on Monday which means summer is officially over and so is my With Wildflowers Summer playlist series. I hope everyone has enjoyed each week’s additions so far and are ready for some more awesome tunes. To go out with a bang, I am saving some of my favorite songs for last. These 10 tracks round out my 100 songs for Summer 2017 and they are up on Spotify as well as below. I will definitely be playing this on the beach come Monday to soak up every last bit of summer sun before transitioning into the Fall. More playlist will still be coming to With Wildflowers, but for now enjoy week 10 of the With Wildflowers Summer playlist.
This week is packed with my favorite artists! 10 songs featuring a Fleetwood Mac song from the original days before Stevie Nicks was on the scene, my #1 favorite Rolling Stones song, the grooviest Grateful Dead track there is and an instrumentals only number from Pink Floyd. Happy listening!
1. “Shakedown Street” … The Grateful Dead
2. “Runnin’ Down A Dream” … Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
3. “It’s Been Too Long” … Quicksilver Messenger Service
Holding onto the last couple weeks of summer with the With Wildflowers Summer playlist. This week’s artists: Aerosmith, Alabama Shakes, Band of Skulls, Kaiser Cheifs, Modest Mouse, The Nerves, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, The Sheepdogs, The Velvet Underground.
